You will visit “the great city” Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Khmer empire. Enter the ancient city through the southern gateway, crossing the causeway flanked by imposing gods and demons holding giant Naga snakes. Explore the temples within of the Bayon, Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King and marvel at the civilisation it once contained.

Discover the jungle covered temple Ta Prohm, and explore Bantey Kdei. See the immense Royal baths of Srah Srang, and visit smaller twin temples of Chau Say Tevoda and Thommanon.

Explore the ‘grand circuit’ and the exquisite carvings of Banteay Srei

Take in the temples on the Grand circuit including Neak Poan, Ta Som and Preah Khan, a vast temple city and the second largest temple in the complex after only Angkor Wat itself. Visit Banteay Srei the 10th century “citadel of women” which has carving so delicate it’s said to be some of the best examples of stone carving anywhere in the world. Rest and enjoy the peace of Banteay Samre, far from the tourist crowds.

See the splendour of Angkor Wat and learn the stories carved into her walls

Your tour will culminate with the awe inspiring Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument ever built. Let your guide show you the bas reliefs that adorn the walls of the outer galleries depicting myths and legends and telling the stories of the kings of Angkor.  Covering about 1.6 square kilometres and rising over 55 metres from the ground, Angkor Wat is the best preserved example of ancient Khmer architecture as well as being the heart and soul of modern day Cambodia

If you have time, end your tour with a taste of modern Cambodia; a Siem Reap city tour and a workshop tour where you will see traditional crafts being made using age-old techniques.
